The company
Who is Archaea?
Archaea AI, Inc. is a Silicon Valley company building full-stack private AI for the enterprise. We own and develop the technology behind Biblio, the enterprise RAG system for AI agents, and ArcFact, the AI worker platform — and we bring it to market worldwide through a network of authorized resellers.
The name
Named for the organisms that thrive where nothing else can
Archaea are among the oldest life forms on Earth — microorganisms that flourish in the most extreme, sealed environments on the planet. It's a fitting name for AI engineered to live in the environments other AI can't enter: air-gapped data centers, regulated industries, and compliance regimes where data cannot leave the building.
What we own
The technology
Archaea AI owns and develops the intellectual property behind the entire stack: the Biblio retrieval platform, the ArcFact worker platform, and the flow-lite document parsing engine that powers both.
How we sell
The reseller model
Outside the United States, Archaea products are sold, deployed, and supported by authorized resellers with deep local roots — starting with Japan, and expanding across Korea and the Asia-Pacific region.
Where we are
Silicon Valley, globally deployed
Headquartered in Menlo Park, California, with engineering and go-to-market teams spanning the US and Asia — built from day one for cross-border enterprise delivery.
For customers of our resellers
The questions buyers ask — answered
If a reseller introduced you to Biblio or ArcFact and you're asking "who stands behind this?", this page is for you.
Who owns the products?
Archaea AI, Inc., a US company, owns the intellectual property behind Biblio, ArcFact, and the flow-lite engine, and directs the product roadmap. Resellers license, localize, deploy, and support the products in their markets.
What is the relationship with Krugle?
Krugle Inc. (クリューグル株式会社) is Archaea's authorized reseller for Japan, where our products are marketed under the Krugle brand. Krugle brings local deployment, support, and a network of SI partners; Archaea provides the technology behind it.
Who builds and maintains the technology?
Archaea's engineering organization develops the platform continuously, with releases delivered through the reseller channel. Local resellers handle first-line support and deployment; Archaea stands behind the platform itself.
Is my deployment dependent on a US cloud?
No. Both products are self-hosted by design and run entirely on your own servers. There is no required connection to Archaea, to a reseller, or to any cloud service — which is precisely the point.
